My childhood was filled with car trips to all kinds of places. The whole family would pack into our burgundy Volvo station wagon and set out on a trek. Sometimes it was moving across the country and sometimes it was a weekend camping trip at a lake. I had this problem that I couldn’t sleep in the car so I’d lay there looking out the window watching the telephone poles go by or the patterns the raindrops made on the window.
