VIDEO - OQO’s model 02 1.6GHz Update
OQO just announced an update to their model 02 line of UMPCs. They’ve bumped up the processor from a 1.5GHz VIA C7-M to a 1.6GHz, added a 32GB SSD option as well as made a 120GB hard drive available, and to top it all off they’ve added support for EV-DO Rev.A. Personally I think they’ve gone crazy to do so much in one release, but they took it a step further and took a play from Apple’s book by dropping the base price of the model 02 by $200. I just hope their new CEO, Dennis Moore, won’t have to shell out $100 gift certificates to the people who already bought their model 02’s.
I managed to grab a copy of these videos that were released from the press event. The first video is an interview with Bob Rosin, the VP of Marketing for OQO and their new CEO, Dennis Moore. The second video is my fellow blogger, Rob Bushway from GottaBeMobile.com, giving his thoughts on the OQO model 02. It seems he’s rather pleased with the device.
