Notes
mws - The smelter for which I am currently working, Trail, BC. The site itself is huge, possibly the biggest and most complicated I have ever worked on. This is half of it, the most industrial half. Off to the left is a lot more activity and space. Check it out on Google Maps, Trail, BC. Their rail yard has 13 sets of track side by side. The pipe in the center goes up the hill behind the camera to a very large fertilizer plant. They take the SO2 out of the exhaust and convert it into sulfuric acid and fertilizer. During WWII they had a top secret heavy water plant here.
Great shot, dad. That place is impressive. I hope I can visit it someday soon.
